Andy has been an annual visitor to Placencia since the spring of 2000 (he
remembers when the sidewalk was still skinny). He first visited to dive with
the Whale Sharks, fell in love with the place and the people, and has been
coming back ever since. Miriam’s first visit was in 2004, and she loved it as
much as Andy did, so they decided to buy a lot.

Miriam got to experience Placencia at Easter both in 2004 and 2006. She was
first runner up in the bikini contest in 2006 (and will ever be known in the
village as “the white girl who can dance”). They have a lot of friends in the
village, and look forward to meeting the Surfside community.

When not in Belize , they make their home in Gloucester , Massachusetts , a
coastal town about 30 miles north of Boston (where The Perfect Storm was
set). Andy sells software for managing valet parking (not much call for that in
Placencia), and Miriam works in sales and marketing for a large law firm in
Boston .

They have no immediate plans to build, but look very much forward to the day
that they can.
